The TRX team will be in Chicago for the 2019 NIST PSCR Public Safety Broadband Stakeholder Meeting at the Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago from June 9th-11th. Jeff Kunst, TRX’s VP of Product Development, will be speaking alongside Matt Herbert, Arlington County Virginia Fire Department, Battalion Chief, at the meeting about the progress on TRX’s NIST PSIAP grant.
Last month, TRX’s NEON® Personnel Tracker Solution provided 3D tracking of law enforcement and first responders during a live training exercise at George Mason University’s EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA.
The Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC) is the premier conference for the SOF community to interact with industry and to collaborate on the challenges, initiatives, and way-ahead in delivering the most cutting-edge capabilities to SOF operators. TRX is excited to be at SOFIC in Tampa, FL again this year and we invite the SOF community to meet us at the Federal Resources booth (#2128) to learn about and test NEON, our industry-leading GPS-denied personnel tracking technology.
Today, we are pleased to announce the release of the industry’s first field solution that provides 3D indoor and outdoor coverage mapping for 5G New Radio (5G NR). The integration of Anritsu’s Field Master Pro™ MS2090A RF handheld spectrum analyzer with the MA8100A TRX NEON® Signal Mapper will be demonstrated at the International Wireless Communications Expo on March 6th and 7th in the Anritsu booth (#824)
TRX supported our partner Blueforce Development this past week at the second annual Operation Convergent Response (OCR) where Blueforce demonstrated how their Command Center solution improves situational awareness for first responders during incidents. OCR2018 was held at the Guardian Centers in Perry, Georgia; the 830-acre disaster preparedness and state-of-the-art training campus offered a realistic metroplex for many disaster response exercises. These disaster and crisis scenarios included a helicopter crash, nuclear detonation, earthquake, and active shooter incidents. TRX supported Blueforce in a subway terror attack scenario where a terrorist led a simulated attack that included a bomb and chemical release in a subway tunnel.
TRX Systems Demonstrates 3D Mapping and GPS-Denied Personnel Tracking at Thunderstorm 18-29/12/2018
TRX Systems announced today that its NEON® Personnel Tracker Solution was used to track personnel within challenging indoor, underground, and urban GPS-denied environments at the Thunderstorm 18-2 Dense Urban and Subterranean Technologies (DUST) Demonstration. Thunderstorm 18-2 took place August 6th-17th in New York City and featured technologies to bridge capability gaps facing military and first responders when operating in GPS-denied environments such as tunnels, buildings, and urban canyons. You can read the full press release on the demonstration here.
Recently, TRX Systems attended the 2018 NIST Public Safety Communications Research (PSCR) Public Safety Broadband Stakeholder Meeting. TRX was awarded a grant from the Public Safety Innovation Accelerator Program (PSIAP) in June of last year. During this meeting, TRX presented last year’s new capability developments and made TRX’s latest NEON Personnel Tracker application for attendee use and evaluation throughout the 2.6 million square foot venue. The Stakeholders Meeting was an excellent forum to engage with a wide variety of public safety stakeholders – including early adopters within state, local, and federal departments responsible for safeguarding and securing the population. TRX also had a chance to catch up on the latest FirstNet news and research by other PSIAP grantees including research into next generation ranging, inertial silicon, and location constraint sources.
Next week, the TRX team will be in San Diego for the 2018 PSCR Public Safety Broadband Stakeholder Meeting from June 5-8. Carol Politi, TRX’s President and CEO, and Jeff Kunst, TRX’s VP of Product Development, will be speaking at the meeting about the progress on TRX’s NIST PSIAP grant that was announced at this same event last year. The grant to TRX is focused on research and development of technology that will deliver more robust and higher accuracy 3D location for first responders and enhanced 3D visualization tools for on-site and remote commanders. The project includes development of new mapping tools as well as use case validation, field testing and feedback with first responders in Harris County, TX and Arlington, VA.
