TRX Systems Provides 3D Location for DHS OpEx in Houston, TX

​TRX delivered seamless, 3D personnel tracking at the DHS S&T NGFR - Harris County OpEx that took place December 4-5th at the Port of Houston in Texas. The two-day OpEx demonstrated how an integration of a select group of emergency response technologies could improve coordinated emergency response during a simulated HAZMAT scenario that included federal, state, and local public safety agencies.  DHS S&T chose Houston-area partners for the OpEx because urban areas response agencies have significant collaboration and information-sharing needs. As of 2016, 81.7 percent of Americans live in urban areas, and urban responders have different technology needs and budgets than those in rural areas. ​

TRX showcased NEON® Personnel Tracker to provide the seamless, mission-critical location data for the more than 40 first responders participating at the Harris County OpEx. Implemented as a location service running on the Sonim mobile devices carried by the first responders, NEON location data was integrated with multiple situational awareness applications to enhance the coordination of responding teams and to improve overall incident response effectiveness.
