TRX - A History of PNT Innovation
Founding to Commercial Success
Founding: TRX Systems, founded in 2004, was initially focused on the need to safeguard public safety and security personnel operating indoors or in other GPS-denied areas.
NEON Technology: That early research and development work ultimately yielded TRX’s NEON® Location Service. Powered by a suite of patented algorithms, NEON fuses GPS and other satellite position inputs with inertial, map data, radio frequency, and other inputs to compute a user’s 3D location in the absence of reliable GPS. Commercial Success: Thousands of NEON units have shipped worldwide to military, security, and commercial users. |

Delivering Assured PNT to Warfighters
ATAK Integration: In 2018, TRX integrated its NEON technology with the DOD Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) application, making GPS-denied capabilities available to dismounted users of ATAK. NAVWAR Capabilities: In 2020, through a program with the US Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), TRX evolved its NEON-based ATAK solution to enable the detection and mapping of jamming and spoofing threats. That solution is now delivered as NEON PT-MIL. TRX DAPS Solution: In 2021, TRX was selected by the U.S. Army to deliver a next generation Dismounted Assured PNT System (DAPS), designed to replace the Defense Advanced Global Positioning System (GPS) Receiver (DAGR). |
