Continuous PNT Innovation. Proven Execution.
In March 2023, the U.S. Army awarded TRX a $402 million production contract to deliver DAPS GEN II systems, known commercially as TRX DAPS II. The TRX DAPS II system has gone through rigorous independent testing and is now shipping in volume. That PoR award not only reflected TRX’s deep PNT expertise, acquired through years of research and engagement in DoD related programs, but also its proven ability to execute.
Founding to Commercial Success
Founding: TRX Systems was founded in 2004 to deliver positioning systems that safeguard public safety and security personnel operating indoors and in other GPS-denied areas.
NEON Technology: Through that research and development effort, TRX brought the NEON® GPS-denied positioning, navigation, and mapping products to market. Powered by patented algorithms, NEON technology fuses satellite-based PNT information with inputs from inertial sensors, map data, and other sources to reliably track a user’s position in GPS-denied environments. Commercial Success: TRX has produced and shipped thousands of products powered by NEON positioning and navigation technology to military, security, and commercial users. |

Delivering Assured PNT to Warfighters Through engagement with and support from the U.S. Army, DARPA, U.S. Air Force, and others, TRX was able to transition its commercial capabilities to warfighter applications. ATAK Integration: In 2018, TRX first integrated its positioning technology with the DoD Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) application, making GPS-denied capabilities available to dismounted users of ATAK. TRX DAPS 1.2: TRX was selected by the Army in 2021 to deliver a next-generation DAPS solution enabling warfighters to better target, maneuver, and communicate in GPS-degraded or denied operational environments. Only eight months after the production contract award, TRX began delivering this Quick Reaction Capability (QRC) to the Army. TRX DAPS II: In March 2023, the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (PEO IEW&S) awarded TRX a seven-year, $402 Million Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to deliver DAPS GEN II systems.
