This week, the U.S. Army is hosting its premier technology showcase, the xTech 3 Summit - a first-ever virtual event highlighting the innovative technologies from more than 250 unique small businesses that have been incubated through the Army’s xTechSearch program. TRX Systems was selected as a U.S. Army xTechSearch 3 Phase IV finalist by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology. TRX’s NEON® GPS-denied dismount PNT solution was one of 12 finalists selected from hundreds of new technologies that were evaluated by the Army. Each of the finalists were awarded a $120,000 prize at the 2019 AUSA Annual Meeting and Expo at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. At the xTech 3 Summit this week, TRX Systems and 11 other finalists pitched technology solutions aimed at tackling the Army’s most critical modernization challenges. TRX CEO Carol Politi showcased TRX’s ability to utilize map data to deliver GPS-denied position assurance and highlighted the significant momentum the company has within both commercial and defense markets. In addition to TRX, the xTech3 finalists include: LiquidPiston (high efficiency combustion engines), TexPower (next-gen Lithium-Ion batteries), Knight Technical Solutions (novel engine design), XO-NANO (injury prevention systems), Syncopated Engineering (RF decoys), Cayuga Biotech (battlefield hemorrhage tech), SALUS (aerial load stabilization), GhostWave (counter drone perimeter monitoring), and ElectroNucleics (point of care pathogen detection). A brief introduction of what TRX presented can be viewed in the video below: Carol also spoke on a panel titled “Wearable Technologies of 2020” alongside two other start-up companies: Pison and Embr. TRX Systems will also be hosting a virtual booth today for the general audience from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM EST.
