TRX Joins the ACR Group

​TRX Systems is pleased to announce that we recently became a part of the ACR Group, a leader in satellite-based tracking, data communications, and emergency location products & services. TRX will operate as an independent subsidiary and will retain its existing management team, products, brand, location, engineering capabilities, and sales.

TRX was founded over 15 years ago to deliver location within indoor environments, where GPS is naturally denied.  We developed an approach that used a combination of satellite, inertial sensor, and map data to deliver assured position in situations where GPS is not available.   

Leveraging that location technology, we established our first beachhead market in the area of signal mapping, where we partnered with leading test equipment companies to help ensure that public safety radios and cell phones will work reliably indoors by validating network coverage.  

Building on that heritage, TRX began delivering position solutions for the defense markets and was recently selected by the U.S. Army to provide a next generation Dismounted Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) System – TRX DAPS.

TRX multi-sensor fusion solutions and low-SWaP PNT products will now complement the extensive satellite communications and PNT portfolio within the ACR Group. TRX will benefit from enhanced access to a broad array of satellite technologies and our products will now be available to a broader customer base.
