September 22, 2008 - TRX Systems named finalist in the Global Security Challenge. Six finalists from around the world will compete for a $500,000 prize at the London Business School on November 13, 2008. Press Release


June 10,2008 - TRX named Incubator Company of the Year in the category Best Homeland Security Company. The awards recognize the achievements of current and graduate companies within Maryland's incubator network. CFO Karina Drees and CEO Carole Teolis accepted the award on behalf of the TRX team at a ceremony in Baltimore, MD. Press Release

June 2, 2008 - TRX CEO, Dr. Carole Teolis, and Founder, Dr. Gil Blankenship presented the TRX first responder personnel tracking and locating technology at the 2008 Homeland Security Science & Technology Stakeholders Conference held in Washington DC this week. Press Release

April 30, 2008 - TRX team demonstrates feasibility of firefighter location and accountability technology at 2008 Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Conference . Steve Edwards, director of the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute at the University of Maryland, introduced the TRX Firefighter Location and Accountability System and other research to improve firefighter safety ongoing in coordination with MFRI. TRX Founder, Dr. Gil Blankenship and Eric Kohn gave a presentation and live demonstration of the technology. 

April 2008 - TRX named finalist for Maryland Incubator Company of the Year Award sponsored by the Maryland Department of Economic Development (DBED) and the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO). The awards recognize the achievements of current and graduate companies within Maryland's incubator network. TRX systems is a finalist in the newly established Homeland Security Category.
