TRX Systems Moves to New Headquarters - Expands Design, Development, Test, and Training Facilities7/27/2020
TRX Systems has relocated its headquarters to accommodate the company’s growth and to provide expanded laboratory, prototyping, test, and training facilities.
TRX’s new facility is located in the center of the Baltimore-Washington corridor, providing convenient access to TRX customers – including those within federal agencies and the US Army – and to TRX Systems integrator, technology, and university partners. Only a few miles from the University of Maryland College Park, the new location is convenient to UMCP’s Clark School of Engineering, a top 25 engineering school, as well as the area’s other top universities. TRX announced today the release of the NEON Enterprise Server (NES), a private, secure, and containerized version of the 3D map and location capabilities provided by the NEON Cloud. The release of the NES provides a self-hosting option for government agencies, commercial enterprises, and military operators that cannot leverage NEON’s commercial cloud services.
Anritsu recently released the MS27101A-IBCM In-Building Coverage Mapper bundle, a fully integrated coverage mapping solution enabling technicians to verify proper signal power across multiple frequencies in a single walk-through. The combination of NEON® MA8100 Signal Mapper with the MS27101A and accessories in an innovative backpack bundle provides a compact, easy-to-use solution for automated testing and reporting of in-building and outdoor coverage and performance.
TRX Systems Demonstrates Dismount GPS-Denied Location and Tracking Technology at AEWE 20203/26/2020
TRX Systems was selected to participate at the 2020 Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiments (AEWE) hosted by the U.S. Army Maneuver Battle Lab in Fort Benning, Georgia. At AEWE 2020, the TRX NEON application provided assured position data for soldiers operating in GPS-denied areas, improving situational awareness, supporting effective navigation, and enhancing safety.
2019 has come and gone, but the 2nd half of the year was a time of continued growth and success for TRX Systems. TRX Systems has been selected by the U.S. Army to deliver a prototype tactical electronic warfare kit for dismounted soldiers. As the first contract awarded from the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office’s (RCCTO) first Innovation Day, TRX Systems will provide a portable kit that enables alerts when electronic jamming or spoofing is detected and will provide a "rewind" navigation feature to estimate the user's probable current position after jamming or spoofing has occurred.
SAF Tehnika and TRX Systems announced today the integration of our NEON® Signal Mapper application with SAF’s hand-held spectrum analyzer series (Spectrum Compact). The new SAF-TRX integrated solution uses NEON Signal Mapper to deliver real-time geo-referenced signal data that can be visualized both locally by the user and remotely on a 3D display.
This new in-building signal testing solution leverages the Spectrum Compact’s exceptional measurement accuracy and industry-leading noise floor (-128dB) to provide a complete picture of the RF environment. TRX was awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to demonstrate TRX’s NEON® Personnel Tracker application in an assessment of mature technologies that are available for backup Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) services in the event of a disruption to GPS. DOT awarded a total of more than $2.5 million to 11 companies that are capable of providing backup PNT solutions for critical infrastructure if GPS is temporarily unavailable. Supported by DOT’s Volpe National Transportation Center, NEON Personnel Tracker will be used to provide location of personnel operating in GPS-denied environments in support of a broad number of use cases during the technology demonstrations planned for March 2020. Last month, TRX Systems was selected as a U.S. Army xTechSearch 3.0 Phase IV finalist by the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology. TRX’s NEON® GPS-denied dismount PNT solution was one of 12 finalists selected from over 125 new technologies that were evaluated by the Army. Each of the winning solutions was awarded a $120,000 prize at the 2019 AUSA Annual Meeting and Expo at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
