Sentrix Tracking Unit

The Sentrix Tracking Unit computes 3D location, movement (or non-movement) status, posture, and manually initiated alarms and communicates these over a body area network to a personal communications system.  The Tracking Units offer a small, ruggedized form factor intended for harsh environments.  Sensors include inertial (accelerometer, gyroscope), altitude, and compass.

The Sentrix Tracking unit leverages its unique Inertial Engine to accurately classify user motions – including classification of walking (forward and backwards), running, side stepping (left and right), crawling, and going up and down stairs.  Motion in elevators is also accurately tracked.  This unique and patent-pending Inertial Engine is a significant leap beyond simple pedometer-based systems with their inherent and limiting assumptions regarding user gaits.  The Engine delivers accurate scaling across multiple personnel and multiple motions without any training or personalization.  Performance can be improved further with personalization of the unit.

The Tracking Units offer a modular communications interface and can interface over a body area network to the TRX Sentrix Data radio or can be integrated within partner-owned wide area or secure communications systems
